Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia

The Hunter Valley is the birthplace of Australian wines. Known for its exquisite varieties of Semillon and shiraz, it's renowned worldwide as a gourmet getaway. It is also the home of the famous Christmas light spectacular, an annual event that displays over 2 million bedazing lights. My family and I visited Hunter Valley in early 2021 and I must say, it's definitely worth a visit no matter if you're going solo or with a family. First off, you gotta hit up the wineries because they are legit amazing. Take your taste buds on a wild adventure with wine tastings at awesome spots like Tyrrell's Wines, McGuigan Wines, and Brokenwood Wines. And guess what? They even have chocolate and cheese tastings! Indulge in heavenly chocolate treats at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company and sample creamy, mouthwatering cheeses at the Binnorie Dairy. Oh, and if you're up for it, go for a hot air balloon ride with Balloon Aloft (we couldn't do it). My recommendation- spend full one day and night, preferabely book a wineyard cottage instead of a hotel.

Royal Easter Show, Sydney

Australia’s biggest celebration of the country, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is a carnival  of rural and agricultural industry dating back to 1823 and includes animal displays, award-winning produce and crafts, amusement rides and show-bags. The Royal Easter Show is an absolute blast with tons of things to do! You won't believe the incredible live performances that'll leave you on the edge of your seat. Get your taste buds ready for some seriously delicious eats, from classic fair goodies to fancy gourmet treats. And let's not forget about all the cute farm animals strutting their stuff. Plus, get your adrenaline pumping on those crazy carnival rides and show off your skills at the games. With awesome exhibits, epic showbags, and a festive vibe, the Royal Easter Show is hands down the coolest event to hit town.  It's on the pricier side, however the vast variety of activities to do makes it a full one day trip. Highly reccommend for families with kids. Honestly, one time is enough as it is heavy on the pockets.

Gold Coast, Australia

The Gold Coast has set the scene for blockbuster movies and world-class surf events, so it’s no surprise Queensland’s most charismatic city needs a comprehensive guide to discover its best assets.  Gold Coast has some of Australia's best theme parks such as Movie world and amazing beaches like Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.  Visiting Gold Coast is a captivating experience that offers a perfect blend of sun, surf, and vibrant city life. With its stunning beaches, lively atmosphere, and breathtaking skyline, this coastal paradise is a haven for beach lovers and adventure seekers alike. Explore the iconic Surfers Paradise, indulge in thrilling water sports, savor delicious local cuisine, and immerse yourself in the region's natural beauty.

Taj Mahal, India

The Taj Mahal looms fairytale-like from the banks of the Yamuna River. it is UNESCO World Heritage Site, India’s most recognized monument and is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Everyone has seen the photos of world leaders posed at the end of the ornamental ponds in front of the Taj, they're totally instagram-worthy. The best time is from November to February, otherwise it can be unbearably hot or rainy. You'll be able to get some excellent off-season discounts. To avoid crowds and enjoy the serenity of the Taj Mahal, consider arriving early in the morning, preferably at sunrise. Or go at golden hour (exactly when sun is about to go), it was magical. you can also consider hiring a local guide who can provide interesting historical and architectural insights about the Taj Mahal.
